Hi all,
I don’t have any major updates this month, besides becoming a first time aunt! It’s been a busy time for our family and start to the summer.
Hope everyone is doing well, and as always, feel free to reach out and say hello!
Let’s get into it…
WHAT'S COOKING LOS ANGELES?!

Pikunico — Wholesale District in Downtown
This Japanese Fried Chicken spot has gotten great reviews from Eater LA, and they have a variety of gluten-free fried chicken options to choose from. The menu is clearly labled which makes it easy to read.
Mixtape — Neighborly (food hall) in Westlake Village
Ahmir Thompson (aka “Questlove”) just opened up this new “burger joint” in May! They serve classics like double-stacked patties, chicken tenders, and sundaes — but without any beef, gluten, or seed oils. Their burgers are either made of chicken or veggies and served on a GF bun!
Cosetta — Santa Monica
This newly opened, Italian restaurant and pizzeria has gone to great lengths to ensure their menu offers many gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. It’s quickly becoming a crowd favorite.
Mothers Tacos — Ventura (Ventura County)
The popular taco spot just opened up a new location in April! Their corn tortillas are 100% gluten-free — with the masa being made from scratch every morning. I highly recommend checking them out!
Cinque Terre West — The Colonoy (ghost kitchen) in Venice
This spot used to be a standalone restaurant in the Pacific Palisades, but is now a recent addition to The Colonoy (a ghost kitchen that’s home to other gluten-free food options including Moonbowls and Goop Kitchen)!!! Cinque Terre West offer sandwiches on homemade gluten-free focaccia and have gluten-free pasta options.
What Else is Simmering…
[Note: These mentions are not guarenteed to have gluten-free options, but often have at least some, and are mentioned because they’re worth knowing.]
